I apologise for the poor matching of notes (they are not chords!) to lyrics, I can't seem to make the text spacing to work.
So after watching K-on! episode 12 a couple of weeks ago, I heard part of the lyrics in a dream. It was as if sumone had turned on the stereo on full blast playing this English version of "Fude Pen Boru Pen". (really!)
So I sat up awake at 4:30 am, and wrote the song down. Ironed out the poetry over a couple of days and this is the result.
My philosophy on writting English versions of Japanese songs, especially Anime songs, is to let the literal meaning of the original lyrics take a back seat..... the Jap Lyrics then to be a bit silly...(In K-On! A lantern was hung on this by stating songwriter Mio has weird taste)
However, it is important to match the new English lyrics with the Jap syllables to conserve the rhythm and musical value of the song. I hope I have achieved that here
