The Powell Homer was designed by Homer Simpson, half brother of Herbert Powell.
The Powell Motor company collapsed shortly after the release of the Homer. Company assets were assimilated by Komatsu Motors, and production of the Homer ceased.
Today, the Homer is one of the most sought after collector cars made in recent history. It is prized for its quirky neo classic design, and its extreme dragster power.... handling however, leaves much to be desired.
Celebrity owners of the few Homers in existence includes Jay Leno and Rowan Atkinson. The later having recently crashed his Homer, making this vehicle even more rare.
